About Us
Seven Acres Farm is a small-scale market garden located in Canning, Nova Scotia. We grow mixed vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers, and produce a variety of lacto-fermented foods, including sauerkrauts, kimchis, kombucha and water kefir.

Our rotating line of seasonally-influenced fermented products are made in small batches, and the ingredients we use are predominantly sourced locally, grown by ourselves and other farms in the Annapolis Valley. We are committed to using no-spray and certified organic ingredients as much as possible. All of our fermented products are vegan and unpasteurized.
We are dedicated to growing produce and flowers in a way that increases biodiversity, improves soil health, and regenerates the overall environmental health of the landscape we live on. This includes avoiding the use of insecticides and pesticides completely, and limiting ourselves to soil amendments that are free of chemicals or ingredients that could harm soil, plant and animal life. We also practice plant-based farming (also known as veganic farming), which is the practice of farming without the use of animal by-products such as manure and bone meal.
