About Us
Elderkin's Farm has been a family owned Annapolis Valley farm since 1760. In 1996, Elderkin's Farm Market & Bakery was built which offers fresh fruit and vegetables grown on Elderkin's Farm as well as delicious baked goods prepared from scratch daily. Currently the farm is owned and operated by Peter and Sharlene Elderkin with their son Aaron and daughter-in-law Carolyn now assuming a more active role in day-to-day operations looking into the future.
Elderkin's Bakery is known for it's scrumptious baked goods which are prepared fresh from scratch every day using as many local ingredients as possible. A few examples include: cookies, various types of bread, rolls, pies, and much more. If you have a sweet tooth, Elderkin's Bakery is the place for you.
Since 2000, Elderkin's have been producing their own line of hard apple cider. Currently, the farm has expanded their cider line with a variety of flavors including: traditional, maple, crabapple, apple strawberry and many more!

Practices
Elderkin's Farm is a vertically integrated farming operation which involves growing fruits and vegetables all the way to packaging and retailing it's own value added products. The farm believes in harnessing a biodiverse ecosystem by implementing environmentally responsible uses of modern farming practices and limiting use of chemicals where possible. We are a small scale farming operation that relies on traditional farming methods and employs a 100% local workforce.
